May 16, 2008 . . . We have a post card confirming summer Fair dates and training times going out the early part of next week. We are awaiting finalization of the summer schedule. We are currently confirmed at 4 of 5 Fairs in Rhode Island. Children everywhere need encouragement, don't they!
March 1, 2008 . . . Our new on-line Good E-News Letter (.pdf format) has been completed and is now available for on-line viewing. Finished it in an 11 hour marathon ending this morning so if we didn't answer the phone yesterday you can now check out the reason why! Initial expectations are to use this E-Letter on a "3 times a year" basis to encourage and communicate upcoming ministry opportunities for partnerships between CEF and both Rhode Island churches and church members to reach the children of Rhode Island.

Washington County Fair - Friday, August 10, 2007 at West Kingston Baptist Church from 6:30-8:30 PM. Directions to Carolina Free Baptist: Rt 95, exit 3 take Rt. 138 East 1.9 miles to Rt. 112. Bear right (South) on Rt. 112-Charlestown (Richmond Townhouse Road) and go 3.1 miles. Church is on right (West) side. 01.19.2007 . . . There will be a Teacher Training for Good News Club® teachers, helpers and interested parents Sunday afternoons on January 28, February 4 and 11th at Wood River Baptist Church in Richmond, RI. Call 401.377.2996 to pre-register (no walk ins). This training is also appropriate for Sunday School teachers and Home Schoolers who want to SuperCharge their teaching! A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those who complete the course (all 3 sessions)!
01.08.2007 . . . The Connecticut Youth Missionary Training went very well with 25 youth trained in a 4 day consecutive training from December 27-30th 2006. Praise the Lord!

11.11.06 . . . On December 2nd there will be a 1/2 day Retreat for anyone interested in finding out about becoming a Summer Missionary during the summer of 2007. Come meet other missionaries your own age!
11.10.06 . . . Looking forward to seeing our CEF Rhode Island family at Annual Banquet tomorrow night! Our theme is "Prayer" - we have seen so many prayers answered this year. Just as things could have been discouraging the Lord provided abundantly to address the shortfalls! Praise God. Tim Beachell (Mr. "B"), the Massachusetts CEF State Director, will be our principal speaker and we look forward to hearing from him. There will be several testimonies to answered prayer and a special segment for those of you who will be at least 14 by June 1st! We look forward to seeing you-all!
09.27.06 . . . The Annual Banquet will be held Saturday, November 14th at West Kingston Baptist Church.
09.17.06 . . . The SonSplash Festival was held in Woonsocket yesterday on Social Street at the WWII Memorial State Park and 51 children and adults stopped by our tent during the 8 hour Festival. We met many who had recently decided to follow Christ . . . some within the last week! We also met a number who decided to follow Christ yesterday. God is moving in the Woonsocket area. We were warmly welcomed in that city by the churches and met many leaders with a heart to share the Good News. I expect the ministry of CEF to be back in the churches in that city very soon to train and encourage and am looking forward to following up on church contacts in the next week.
08.23.06 . . . The Washington County Fair was excellent and somewhat like a marathon with five consecutive 14 hour days. 319 children and adults came to make a craft and hear a special story. The only break occurred Sunday morning when an early morning rain left our tent in the middle of a deep puddle! However, it was drained by noon time and we again able to bring good news to children. Our volunteers worked 3 hour shifts and were blessed by the many who came.
08.08.06 . . . Washington County Fair Training at West Kingston Baptist Church, 263 Waites Corner Rd. in West Kingston, RI ( www.wkbc.org located about 1 1/2 miles West of the main campus of the Univ. of RI) has been finalized and we are ready to go! Plan on arriving at 6:15 PM so that we can start promptly at 6:30 PM. If you would like to encourage the instructor, let him know you are coming so we will have sufficient course manuals available! 	07.25.06 . . . The Hot Air Balloon Festival was great - many came to hear on Friday, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. When the rain descended Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning we went to Providence where an (inside) door opened wide. Sunday morning the Connecticut CEF Missionaries joined us in church where we participated in a joyful celebration of the previous week of children's Vacation Bible School (VBS). God is great.
07.17.06 . . . God has been answering prayer in clear ways and we are now ready for the South County "Hot Air Balloon Festival". Hope to see you there - stop in and say hello. Better yet, bring a family member or friend to hear the Hot Air Balloon story which we will be telling while at the Fair.
07.10.06 . . . We're just about ready! Volunteer Fair Training is set for 6:30 PM tomorrow night at Carolina Free Baptist Church on Rt. 112 in Charlestown. If you would like to participate in this training it's not too late to RSVP. Email us right away at together@cefri.org
06.20.06 . . . Summer Missionary training in Massachusetts begins this Friday. Many, called by the Lord, are going from Massachusetts and other New England states. Pray for those going as they have answered the call to pick up their cross and follow Him wherever He leads them. Summer Fair preparations are in also full gear right now. We're nearly ready! If you received a training post card and have not yet responded please do so right away.

05.05.06 . . . Sunday morning, May 7, 2006, 7:00-8:00 AM there will be a one hour interview / conversation / CEF children's music on the radio (88.1 FM WKIV in Westerly, Rhode Island). Pre-registration required. 11:10.05 Good News Clubs^® have officially been granted access to the CHARIHO School District on an equal access basis with the "boy scouts, girl scouts, brownies, etc." according to a letter to Liberty Council dated November 4, 2005 from Council for the CHARIHO School District. We also have that same equal access to schools in the Providence School System. 11.06.05 We are currently in the process of scheduling monthly training for our Rhode Island Good News Club^® volunteers and leadership! Training is Biblically important (2 Tim 2:15) and should be practical and fun! We expect to have a schedule posted here soon. Our scheduling goal is flexibility; with this in mind we would like to offer two monthly training opportunities for our community each month: one Evening session and one Saturday morning session (CEF^® volunteers will be able to attend either) between the months of August - March each year.
